This is a real "pickers & dealers" tour
complete with low cost hotels & airfares,
GIANT antique fairs, auctions & flea markets, special early bird
admissions, bad coffee and local pickers for guides.
We won't waste your time having tea with retail shop owners.
You are invited to the ultimate European antique buying excursion.
Because we are long time antique dealers in New England, we discovered many years ago that we had a difficult time doing much business in the winter off season.
So instead of heading south, we started traveling to Europe to buy when it's winter here in the Northeast.
We found that the airline fares to Europe and the hotel rates over there were ridiculously cheap and the dealer/sellers at the antique fairs were hungry for American business. Bargains are very much available if you go to the right places and seek out the serious sellers.
All those American antique shoppers who went on the "springtime in Paris" type trips had paid top dollar, but we got the same or better antique merchandise for much lower prices.
The BIG bonus was the really cheap expenses. We found bargain air fares and inexpensive but nice places to stay, cheap minibus & truck rentals, good deals with shippers we could trust, and made many great friends who guide us to the deals and speak the languages.
We would like to invite you to join our small group.
BIG NEWS! THE DOLLAR IS WORTH MORE IN EUROS & POUNDS THAN IT HAS BEEN IN YEARS !!!!!!!!
To reserve a spot on the next trips which are December 2009 and February 2010 please see our reservations page.
Make sure to read the Questions and Answers page.
NOTE: Our previous trips included the Fieraantiqueria antiques fair in Arezzo, Italy.
Because the fair dates do not correspond with the trip dates we have elected to go to
Belgium instead. After consulting with our previous travelers they all seem to agree
that Belgium should be more productive for bargain hunting. Belgium has become a hub
of antiques activity because of its' location joining eastern Europe to the continent.
The February 2010 trip goes to Brussels, Belgium then England and then to Paris.
Join us! This will be a great trip.
